Resources to Help Those Who Need Extra Help

Resources for families with special needs

special family

Resources!!  I just started this project, if I missed any diagnosis, please inform me.  I apologize!  Every diagnosis is equally important.  This is an Ever Growing/Living List.  Please add your own knowledge, therapies, or even strategies that have helped you in the comments and I will add them in the list.  Thank you!

The best way to utilize this list is to copy and paste the links into your browser.  If I have a spare moment – ha!  I’ll make real links of all these, so all anyone has to do is click the links.  I apologize that I didn’t get that far… baby steps in the house!

DISCRETION ADVISED: ****I do NOT warrant any of the below resources as tell all cures.  I have used some of these resources and will “blog” about them.  Not one therapy will cause a child to respond the exact same way.  All responses to therapies and treatments differ as all children and individuals differ.  Please do NOT try a ton of these at the same time.  Trust me, it causes chaos.  Remember: special needs life is a marathon, not a sprint.  Caregiver: pace yourself in many ways – financially, physically, and consider your health and schedule too.

I wanted a list like this to help the scared/bewildered caregiver that knows something isn’t right and needed some sort of list to help them navigate the road.

I sure hope this helps.  You got this!  You are strong.  No one can love your special loved one like you!  WE GOT THIS, TOGETHER =)

I live in Columbus, Ohio USA, grown up here all my life. I love yoga, walking, riding bike, reading, bargain shopping, serving at church. Usually though, I'm napping in a doctor's office waiting area with one or two of the Fantastic Four Children. My passion is helping other families with extra health, behavioral, and learning issues like mine. Let's enjoy life... TOGETHER. It's more fun that way =)!
